I have been feeling very tired lately, but it's not the normal, I-didn't-get-enough-sleep tired. It's hard to get the energy to even walk across the room. I've been having chest pains and a sore throat. Also, I didn't think much about it at first, but my ankles and knees have been sore when I'm running, which has never happened before. I'm really concerned about this, but I don't want to go into the doctor's office if it's nothing.
Thank You.

If you're concerned then that warrants a trip to the doctor. If it turns out to be nothing then at least you'll know for sure. It could be flu, or a chest infection, and the pain you're experiencing could be completely unrelated. It is truly worth going. For the sake of a bit of blood, it'll put your mind at ease and also highlight anything that requires medical attention.

Oh get it checked, sooner sorted soonest mended and all that! Might just be a viral illness - Lupus can get extremely serious, you would have a rash with Lupus too, slow healing of skin lesions, it is very difficult to diagnose and certain criteria have to be met - go see your Doc - have a simple blood test and find out what's going on. Its your body and it is important to look after it! Not wait till its too late to fix it properly!

I agree with the other poster that this sounds a lot like fibromyalgia. I would recommend going ahead and talking to your primary care dr and trying to get in to a rheumatologist. They can tell you whether or not you have fibromyalgia or something else going on.

Check out WebMD.com

If I were you though, go have it checked out by a doctor to make sure you're okay. It may be just a virus.

Wish you the best.

my sister had your symptoms and it turned out to be fibromylgia.
she is now in remission.
you can't die from lupus but from the complications..as my best friend mother died from this disease at fifty one.
so take yourself and get some professional help and stop second guessing...its not going to go away.
