Our purpose here in life is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. Here are a couple of verses which tell us of our purpose: The first is 1 Corinthians 10: 31: "Whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." The second is Psalm 73:25-26: "Whom have I in heaven but thee? There is none upon the earth that I desire beside thee. (26) My flesh and heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever." Throughout the Bible there are verses which declare that our chief end in this world is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.

Well, the purpose of Life is to evolve to the stage of conscious beings, who, once they've past the stages of pure survival, will understand that life, the universe and everything is an illusion, and an amazingly well thought-up joke. The laughter that results in this realisation is absolutely ecstatic.
This laughter is the reason for life.
Bottom line is, we are just a way for the universe to wake up and gaze at itself.

To see how hard we will push ourselves to achieve our dreams. A game of chance - try to be born to live rather than born to die which is how we all begin
