Alternatively, you could always have a National Health Service like in the UK. True, the service isn't always brilliant, and it can varry between regions, BUT, if you happen to have an accident, and you go to hospital and the doctors try everything to save you, but fail, your family isn't provided with a bill for thousands of dollars.
It may seem odd to outsiders, but the NHS is great because you pay a little bit in a tax, and get to have free treatment. I wouldn't swap it for the world.
Oh, and the NHS is also the biggest employer in our country, and even in Europe with over 1million employees, so its good for places with low un-employment.

yes, but just like automobiles you get what you pay for.
the el cheapo way is to get admitted like in the movie "one flew over the coco" with Jack Nicholson..a classic case in study.
Most mental patients have a great insight in their illness. But with the help of a good MD or mental healthy specialist they can get you back to what society calls normal.
Normal is not the case with you. You write this and you already know the answer so you are suffering from an abnormal need to cry out as you think you are special and cute. This calling to yourself for attention is pathetic but normal for a person with your symptoms..this is the age of mental health for everyone and all cities have an agency for mental health...and you are always welcome to check in a mental hospital on a volunteer base. This is called committing yourself...so there is always that option.

Normal costs of MOST things keep increasing like milk, bidi, cigarrettes etc as also of healthcare and it IS INDEED difficult for a common man to face medical calamity -the cost part of it.When we say poor we must remember India consumes Rs 16000 crores on SMOKING...is IT POOR by any standards? So I believe it is THE PRIORITY that is to be set right and then if person spends money on Insurance premium...even minimum He/She would have saved him of major unexpected expenses and still get treated inspite of increasing cost.Though ironically it is MOST ECONOMICAL to die..it is BEST to SPEND Money to SURVIVE!!!
Hope alone would NOT do what PLANNING CAN!
HAve a Healthy LIFE.

In our country, there are two major types of hospitals. one type is govt. hospitals and another type is corporate hospitals. In govt. hospitals, treatment will be of less cost (free at some cases) but, there is no guarantee to life, because the govt. will say that it has no funds to give to hospitals. So there will be no medicines, no advanced equipment. On corporate hospitals, as they bother about their hospital development, they spend money on latest equipment and buy them. But as they see profit in every thing they do, it will not be given to poor and common people. So to change the present situation, govt. should be optimistic and spend more money on govt. hospitals and provide them with latest and advanced equipment which will save common people lives. And it should take care of fees not to exceed a level in corporate hospitals.

yes we can hope for that in future because research work is on high speed.
Today situation is much better then it used to be few years back.more vaccines are been developed and under process of developement. Now even genetic sequence of human hav been understood.
In future I predict we will hav few disease and overall health per human being would be much better,so less expense on medical problems.
But for this we have to wait a lot.
