Yes, Muslims respect all the prophets.
Since movie is felt as a bad thing therefore something with the pious person character in flim adds fuel to the fire.

They'd probably burn down the theatre, much like the hindus did over an award-winning movie about Indian lesbians a few years ago.

I saw an interview with Peter O'Toole talking about the filming of "Lawrence of Arabia". The muslims in the area insisted on observing the filming and ensuring that spoken bits of the koran weren't said "improperly" (whatever that means...) or "disrespectfully".

They got uppity when other characters blew their lines (not containing anything from the koran), and were even moreso when O'Toole _forgot_ his lines which _were_ from the koran. O'Toole didn't say them wrong, he just plain forgot them.

When I say they got uppity, I don't mean they were violent towards the cast and crew (that was in 1962), I mean the muslims were pouting and crying.

No, it is not a sin for a Muslim to watch a movie containing a character of a prophet|

But it *is* wrong to watch a movie with someone dipicting Mohammed.

No, but wasting time in futile activities is a sin.

Movies which educate or uplift are fine.
