It depends on who you are recieving the e-mails from. If it is within your place of work, from someone within the work place or the company, and it is business , correct it as soon as possible. That should go like this: Sorry, but I am recieving emails from you addressed to Mary Smith, at my e-mail address. I'm sorry, I do not know Mary. I am Manager traineee Jim Marshall, South division, Campus II, Brown Corporation. My E-mail address is...............Who do you wish to recieve this e-mail? Can I help you find her?
And follow-up to make sure Employee Relations has your proper address. You never know when management might be testing you to see if you have good e-mail skills.
If it is a total stranger, do not clarify any of your identifying information. You are under no obligation to correct a wrong address, that would just confirm your email address to someone who might be going to scam you.

I'd probably reply with somethng like you've written, but also cc the e-mail to the intended addressee. So I'd write something like this:

Dear Joe,
I just wanted to let you know that I'm not the right person to handle your question. I'm cc-ing this e-mail to Deborah Smith, who should be able to address your questions. Let me know if I can do anything else to help you.

Sally

Brevity is the key.

I believe you have the wrong email address. I am not Mary Smith. Please check your records for the correct address. Thank you.
