Your cat more than likely has cat flu. It is highly contagious to other cats and once a cat has been infected, they have it their entire lives. i have seen the affects of severe cat flu and it is not a pretty sight. I cannot impress on you how important it is for you to keep your cat indoors and take it to a vet. Most cases are not severe but death from cat flu has occurred. i would recommend taking your cat to a vet immediately or, failing that, make provisions for it to be kept inside permanently.

I have 4 cats and I have seen this with at least two of them. I have always put it down to a cold - just give your cat a lot of extra attention, make sure he/she is warm and well fed. My cats are extremely spoilt so if one of them has something wrong I give them a bit of warm milk before bed and I will make sure they sleep on the bed with me in the warm. I know it sounds stupid but I cant help loving them! If it doesnt go away within a few days make an appoitment with the vet - better to be safe than sorry. Good luck

My dog's nose drips as a reaction to the cold. BUT, at one point last fall the dripping turned into, like, bubbling and it made a gurgly-type sound when he breathed. He also had a lot of sneezing at the same time. It was an upper respiratory infection.

Hope nothing's too wrong with your kitty! If it's a URI, those are easily treated with antibiotics so long as you don't let it go untreated too long. If left untreated, the infection could move into your kitty's lungs and that's a lot harder to treat and I think probably pretty dangerous, too.

First of all sorry your cat is not feeling well.. Has the cat been bumped on the head? it could be spinal fluid leaking from the bump on the head? not to scare you but its a possibility..Call the Vet and just see if the vet tech will give you some help over the phone.... good luck
