It really depends on why a person is having an abortion. I had a friend recently who is 17 and she found out she was pregnant and she was all for having the baby untill her grandmother ( who she lives with) told her that if she didn't abort the child she would kick her out. Is it right for someone to have an abortion? I would never have one but I believe its a womens right to choose. I don't believe in the women who use abortions as a form of birth control though. There are women out there that dont use protection and everytime they get pregnant they just have an abortion, another friend of mine has had 4! Now that I have a baby she tells me that " she wants one" and I think about the ones she could have had.
I guess its just the womens beliefs on whether she could or would have an abortion. Alot of people say they "would never have one" but when they get pregnant and dont know what to do they have one anyways because its the easier way out.

I want to ask you people out there what if your parents decide to abort you! You wouldnt be the one giving "shweta" this reply now. Our parents understood the importance of our precious lives and gave us this opportunity to be ourselves. Shweta - God has placed in your hands the opportunity to continue that life, which he choose to give so few of us. There are couples who lead lonely lives because they cant have children. Jen was right about women aborting children because it is convenient. Whoever gives any woman a right to make that choice! Tomorrow if I dont like something and it doesnt suit me will I destory it! The law will have me in prison if I damage anything which is not even "LIFE". Whoever says that a fetus or an embryo is not "LIFE", it is life the moment it start growing! Dont plants and cells have life???? They grow, whatever grows has life! To treat it such that because it does not life you can shed it, so the skin on your body doesnt have life! shed it!
Dipi! I agree with you that society does pressurise women to abort. But my dear friend who bears the guilt of it all her life! Is there any consolation for her! Men are known to wash of their hands because they are unaware of the life they are creating, it is the womans body where this life is created! YOu can feel it! How can you kill it??? That is why there are many pro-life centers run by Mother Theresa's society to give such women shelter who are shuned by their families or forced to give up their babies! A man who can make you kill their child can go thru any lengths! Also please remember, an unborn child who goes through this abuse will be scared for life! If a man can make you go through this once he can do it "n" number of times. Ultimately you will have a scar on the uterus and when you want a baby you will not be able to bear one! Then this very same man will call you a "Barren" How funny!

Reasons:
A lifestyle abortion is when the woman does not want the child
No woman takes the decision to have an abortion lightly
Society pressures or family pressures.
No child planning
A woman or a man in that pattern is not ready for the acceptance for the 3rd member
Its a misconception sometimes to think that the woman is wholely responsible for this abortion issue, people tend to forget what problems& hassleses the woman goes through when she is in such a complication. If a woman is to be blamed for being crazy to abort so is IT A MANS RUTHLESSNESS TO GET HER INDUCT THIS PROCESS OF ABORTION.I would say the man is part of this game who is wholelly and solely also responsible for this devastated procedure to be blamed as well.

You mean fetus because it is not a child/ baby until it is born breathing like you and me.
A woman has the right to choose and abortion is 100% legal.
How can a man leave a woman that is pregnant and not worry about child support?

If this is your choice, then I am sorry you are in such a predicament. There are other choices however, like adoption. In any case, if you are thinking of aborting without a professional, you are risking your own life............You are not thinking about the baby's life,,,,,,,,at least think of your own!

How, morally? Or how, physically?
I'm a baby-killer with no soul because I am pro-choice, so I can't answer you on the first.
On the second, go to your local abortion clinic, Planned Parenthood, your own Ob/Gyn and they should be able to refer you to the proper facility for the proper procedure.
