My sister said if I speak certain things that is not good I am speaking it into the spirit realm. I heard about this true story a few months ago by a pastors daughter, and she said she knew this lady who had 4 daughters, and this lady was pregnant with her 5th and she said if I end up having another girl I will just die, and she kept saying this to her family and friends, whether she meant it or not. Anyway time cam for her to give birth and it was a girl and she died in labour. And this girl remembers her little baby being looked after by a family member at the mothers funeral.I always tell my mother and other people that I want to die and go home to Heaven. Do you think if I keep saying it, do you think I will die of something, because if I do, I am hoping to go home. Do you have any opinion, and Christians only. My sister tells me whatever I say will become my reality.

Yes, I believe this verse, but not quite like you've presented here. I see it this way, all day long we are either speaking something that encourages and helps others or we are speaking something that tears down and affects others in a negative way.

Your story was interesting, but somewhat superstitious. Just because the pregnant lady died in labor doesn't mean it was because of what she said. Our lives are in God's hands and He ultimately decides when He will take us home.

It is better to be content with where the Lord has placed you today. Paul did say to live was good, but to depart and be with the Lord was far better; however, he didn't live longing to be "departed", his life was filled with doing God's work. You must have some difficult circumstances that are hard to face to be so intent on going home.

My opinion is that you will go home when your work is done here. Read the story of the ones to whom talents were given. They were held accountable in how they used them. If you bury your talent and not use what God has given you for life on earth today, you will be held accountable.

Be happy to be where God has placed you. Love Him above all else.

The scripture you are referring to about life and death being in the tongue is in reference to the fact that "confession" is made unto salvation. You receive Christ as Saviour and you confess with your mouth (tongue) that He is Lord. So in that sense Eternal Life and Eternal Death is in the power of the tongue. However, there is spiritual truth that spoken words have power. But just because you say something over and over does not mean it is going to happen. Spoken words have power in the spirit realm when they are backed up by the Word of God, and a vessel that is in close union with Christ through prayer, study, fasting and united in one heart with Him. Some men tried to cast a demon out using the name Jesus whom Paul preached - the demon replied Jesus I know and Paul I know but who are you? And the demons severely wounded those men. You have to have the Power to back up the words. The question for you is - why do you want to go to heaven so soon? This is not the will of Christ for you - He has a plan for your life and a purpose to accomplish through you. Do you love Him enough to do His will rather than your own? Speak only the words Christ puts in your mouth, not your own selfish desires. Words do have power and should not be said lightly - but let those words be the words of Christ and live your life here and now to the fullest for His glory. Then when it is time for you to go to heaven, you can do so with full joy and not regret that you did not fullfill all the will of God for your life. Give God joy - not sorrow through your wishes, your words, and your choices. May God bless you as He leads you deeper into Himself.

I feel for you..Jesus said out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

When i used to say one night in a prayer...I am ready to fall so that God may take me away, and after two full days when God actually was taking my breath away once in the hospital...I realise i was resisting and making efforts to survive. In the end i knew i couldn't resist, i could ascertain that my spirit is ready to depart...so i just said if i'd fall asleep it will be it, in a few minutes i gave up..i trusted that if God's will it is, that moment.. i'm ended., so i fell asleep...but hey when i woke up....the struggling is gone, and i got my breath back...to realise why would i be resisting at that moment to survive when that's what i wanted......

See, God will reprove you for the same things you say. He is watchful on how we humans use our speech. He makes an accounting of every words we say, if we are exceeding our measure. And He records every idle word we speak.

In my case, He totally turned my world upside down, to realize in the end how wrong i was.

Each of us better be watchful of our speech, God listens, His eyes and ears are everywhere to test us. Not that our tongues has the power, meaning our tongues when used for admonition and support can certainly encourage and when used wrongly can do much damage....as in slandering or assasinating one's character.

But what you say over and over, or in prayers...when you say it over and over, you can be sure that God will hear it, especially when it comes from your heart.

The Bible says in a verse, the heart of man is extremely deceitful.
But when a Christian follows after God's heart, it was written in Psalm 91...that he will be safe and be blessed with long life to see the salvation of God.
