everyday, they can freely preach their message. they can do it in their offices, on the street corner and in church every Sunday.
What do you think happens to an atheist who admits it in the office or 'preaches' it on a street corner? An anonymous Internet forum is one of the few places atheists are free to say what they want without persecution. So, Christians, stop your whining and hear the other side for once. Aren't you even the slightest bit curious about what intelligent, educated, rational people think?

Not when you can so easily generalise all christians as whiners. I am a christian and I NEVER preach to anyone and do not have a care in the world on what other people believe or don't believe. If someone is preaching to you and you do not like it, walk away. If I were to meet you in person I would certainly not persecute you and would actually be interested on what you do/don't believe and why. Maybe you are not talking to the right people. God bless you!!! (okay, that last line was seriously just a joke).

As a matter of fact, I *have* been listening to you, who I consider to be an "intelligent, educated, rational" person, and so far what I am hearing is a lot of rage, anger, intolerance, and thirst for justice.
Hey did I ever tell you about the time I got to meet Bill Clinton? It was awesome, got to shake his hand and we even said a few words to each other.
EDIT- Honestly Brendan, I don't think you want to listen to what we have to say and you don't want to tell us what you think. You don't have a 360 page, you don't respond to email, you don't answer questions posed to you by answerers, all you do is drop your rant question and then move on. If you want us to listen and have a dialog, then trying opening up a little bit more. I'd love to hear what you have to say, but you never say it.

Then get out of the religion section....DUH.
Look up what Atheist means and then follow it.
I use to be like you, then I gained intelligence, education and became even more rational and open minded....now I am a 100% believer and now one of God's Soldiers.
Give me a break....all I hear is the whinning of atheists. If you don't like the club house, go build your own. Just like the Brady Bunch when the girls wanted the boys club house.

I'm not curious because there is nothing for me to be curious about. I don't go to atheist sites because I am not atheist. It is funny that you are so sick of 'christian whiners' but go out of your way to talk about christians and the church. If you are really so sick of it then stop talking about it. It's a simple as that. If Christians don't care to hear/read what you have to say that's their right. You can't force people to listen to you if they don't feel like it.

No, they are not interested in what educated, rational people think, that is why you get so many Christians yelling at the top of their voices at passersby, they want to shout everybody down and don't want to hear anything but their own voices.

Dear Friend,
True Christitians do not persecute anyone!
The Bible teaches us that love for your fellow man is one of our greatest commandments: Matthew 19:Matthew 19:19 Jesus replied, " 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, 19honor your father and mother,'[a] and 'love your neighbor as yourself.'[b]"
persecution does not come into a Christians mind, only love for our fellow man, whoever of whatever they are.
Publishing the Gospel of Christ is also one of our teachings, but this should be done in accordance with the above.

God loves you and sent his son to die for you.
What did he do to cause you to hate him so much?
Rather you believe in him or not won't change the fact he dose exist.
