feel superior to me? ha! i'm the one who's got the money. just being an american makes me 12 times richer than the average thai. i must admit that i'm the one who's looking down my nose at thais. maybe they don't think our choice of women(typically darker isaan types and bargirls) is as good as theirs, but that's just their opinion. i suspect that this is in large part a factor in why some thais don't respect western men. they think our choice of women sucks.

Because Thais in general are conservative and see farangs being emotional in public, western women taking there tops off on the beach (which is illegal) I can see where Thais feel they are superior

I am not living in Thailand, yet. But as a frequent visitor and with friends there, I do know that majority of the Thais look up to foreigners, who can travel long distances to visit them. They on the other hand are limited by their means. So they always equate foreigners with better knowledge than them.
They are in general, a very inquisitive lot of people. Highly tolerant of foreigners misbehaving I thing is one virtue they can learn to do less to preserve their own way of life.

What's Farang? Is it just another spelling of Falong? Like a stranger? or rather French person...
I am Laotian...and yeah, Thai people in general feel superior to anyone else...but that's just me...I haven't been back in 20 years...

Married below a million% for specific ( i'm one among them ) boyfriends whether no offical counts yet would of concept between 3 - 5% based on the actuality that a lot of Thai women are searching for for Farang boyfriends. maximum western adult men do no longer p.c. to be husbands they only p.c. to be " Butterflys "

Thai people are conservative and most are observant to other people's manners. That includes foreigners. If a foreigner speaks or acts rudely, impolite, or offensive, Thai people looks down on him, regardless if he had a lot of money. Thai people won't openly show it, but they do frown upon it.

Some of them for sure but never forget that we (the tourists and also the hugh community of expats) are only visitors in their country. But in general they are very friendly and nice.
