ME AND MY BOYFRIEND HAVE BEEN GOING OUT FOR FIVE MONTHS WE REALLY LOVE EACH OTHER BUT HE IS SO PROTCETED OVER ME I CANT DO NOTHING. HE HAS TO KNOW WHAT I DO EVERY DAY I HAVE TO ASK PERMISSSION TO GO TO A PARTY. IT SUCKS BUT I LOVE HIM AND HE LOVES ME HE ACTS DIFFRENT WITH ME THEN HE DOES WITH MY FRIEND. MY FRIOEND TOLD HIM SHE WAS SUPRISED WE MADE IT TO 5 MONTHS AND HE TELLS HER OH WAIT TILL WE MAKE IT TO A YR I THINK HES OBSISSED OVER ME HE WONT LET EM TALK TO HIS FRIENDS AT ALL HE HATES FOR ME TO TALK TO MY GUY FRIENDS THAT I KNEW BEFORE HIM IDK WHAT TO DO HE IS SO OBSISSED IT SCARES ME SOMETIMES BUT THEN AGAIN I LIKE IT SOMETIMES AND THEN AGAIN IT GETS ME AND WHAT SHOULD I DO? IS HE TO OBSISSED? OR OVERPROTECTED?
SHOULD I TALK TO HIM ABOUT IT?

He is out of control. It is degrading to you that he shows so little trust. I know the charm of it, why you like it sometimes- its strong and at the root of it is love of you. But its very unhealthy. Your relationship won't survive if he carries on/ or you will have a miserable time with him. Either way is not ideal for both of you. You have to stand up and be strong and tell him where he is going wrong and how he needs to change to keep you. You have good instincts from the sound of what you have written. You are right to be concerned. He sounds young and stupid, at least I hope so. The last thing you want is to be married to a guy behaving like that who will not change- can you imagine? You would be like his slave. Like a beautiful bird in a golden cage. You would suffocate

how old are you, both? the only person you should ever have to ask permission from would be your parents. if you are under 18, this is something they would surly be concerned about. this is not the behavior of someone who loves you. someone who loves you inquires on how your day was. they trust you when you go places without them. they would have their friends keep a watchful eye out for you, for your protection!!! he would not want them to to watch you nor would he be so insecure that they could not talk to you. evil thinks evil> when someone is so controlling, they have problems. BIG problems. he may be the one doing wrong things, that is why you can not talk to his friends. he is afraid they may let something slip. Why would you ever let someone tell you who you can talk with or be friends with? what are you going to do when he starts telling you you cant talk to your mom? dad? brothers or sisters? i know there is something about that behavior that makes you feel like he must really really love me. this is just before he starts to hit you. he will be sorry, but you made him do it.... because he LOVES YOU SOOOOO much. set him straight now. you are a good person and you deserve to be respected. take care. be careful.

He is too controlling. He needs to understand that you are your own person and if you wanted a parent for a boyfriend, you would dated your dad. Weird reference, but you get the point. No grown person should have to "check in" with anyone.

DEFINATELY SIT DOWN AND TALK TO HIM ABOUT IT!!!!!!! If you two ever get married, believe me, it will get worse. They feel they possess you and both of you will be in one disagreement after another. Too much jealousy is never good. And don't listen to the line, "Oh, it's just because I love you so much!" Yea, right.

do not take offence from me but dump the loser and find some guy that will treat you with respect, and let you go and fun with you friends even if they are guy friends and who will not mind you talking to his friends.
