Using this as a deterant to that idea?

Christ gives us a parable of His coming similar to ten virgins waiting for their bridegroom.

Matthew 25:1
Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Matthew 25:2
Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent.

Five dummies out of ten bad odds?

It's a parable! A story that illustrates a point.. the five that were foolish didn't bring enough oil for their lamps. The ones who were prudent (wise is a good word here) brought extra oil for their lamps so that when the bridegroom came (symbolizing Christ's coming) they would be ready, as opposed to the five foolish virgins who were unprepared. Because they were unprepared to meet the bridegroom they were left out of the wedding party.

One woman is enough. Five ho's and 5 prude's? doesn't sound like heaven to me, more like Hell. Jesus must hav a sick sense of humor.
