Female: it seems they are thought to have grown in maturity earlier than the males, as they invented or discovered all basic requirments of life ,e.g fire, plants, home, pets. physiologically, when a child is in the womb still in the making, a male can be changed into a female(theoratically), but a female cannot be changed into a male( showing feminity is more original). In other words, a child grows from female into a male.thirdly, birth is very much connected with evolution, and only the female has this ability shows it came first.
I am just talking about reason, not about belief systems, and the charm of the religion of reason is that it never says too absolutley something to make it rigid like the religious dogma.

stillman, r u pakistani?

Which contains a complete set of chromosomes to produce both male and female. If you're talking about producing the split in the sexes, than the first would be an "IT", having both X and Y Chromosomes, but also being able to reproduce with itself. Otherwise, male came first, as you can clone a male and get a male, or by excluding the Y Chromosome, a female. Clone a female and you can only get a female.

STILLAMAN where have you been? If your not a religious person fine, but not to have heard the word of the Lord.(the Bible)... God created man first.....

It seems you know more about science than the Bible, you would probably be able to make your own decision, though due to the lack of research on your behalf you must ask others..... Keep on researching,, you have a long way to go before you become a big grown researcher.. oh, till then, I think your STILLABOY

God created all the animals. If you look closely at the first chapter of Genesis you will the see the words "all after their kind" God created male and female initially. Then he had Adam care for the animals. I believe he wanted Adam to see his need for a companion and helpmate. An all-knowing God is never surprised. Don't limit God to human means or elevate the human to be equal with God.

For Jews, Christians and Muslims it depends on which of the two creation myths in Genesis they believe. The first creation myth states that male and female were created at the same time. The second states that the male was created first.

Male, Adam.

Prove to me that physiology is 100% correct. You can't, its a science, created by man, man is not perfect, therefore his science cannot be perfect. Logic gives us the answer.

My religion says The Gods created life and that it grew and evolved, that doesn't contradict science. We are told that we will know when we are meant to. So if biologists say it was female, The Gods gave them the knowledge to do so.

actually there is a talmudic interpretation that adam was originally both male AND female, until G-d separated him into two, based on the verse:

"And God created man (adam) in His image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."
- Gen 1:27
