I don't know. Maybe they're just not that intelligent. Maybe they grew up where they were taught to hate anybody that didn't share their opinions. Or, in some cases, maybe a few screws are loose and a few marbles are missing. In any case, it's wrong. It's immoral. It's pathetic. And it shows just how badly a person was brought up and what kind of parents they had. We need to all learn to respect each other and realize that nobody can force another to believe as they do. I say to them, stick to your religion and I'll stick to mine. ;)

Why do some people use attack as a way of trying to prove their imagined superiority of their beliefs? The logic being 'that everyone else is inferior to us, so We must be the winning team, and You Must join us'. The easiest way to prove this 'inferiority' is to flood every possible forum with lies, and hatred. The worse you make your opponent look, the better you look. I think a related term is Obfuscation.
It is a simple argument, most intelligent six year olds can see right through it, though.

They probably tried to spread their beliefs but were attacked themselves by those who thought they got some nerve.

Ego and self righteousness. They're not interested in enlightening anyone. They just want to appear devoted to God when it's all really lip service in hopes of getting into heaven.

Bigotry, ignorance, disbelief, violent behavior... it's the combination of all of those factors.

its the hate of the other religion....they want to show their power and spread their influence by means of bloodshed

if someone realy believe in God, everything he will do and say need to come out of his faith from his heart, and it will be ful of love and peace otherwise its just fake and week believes.
