I have become left eye dominant so it wont stay closed for qualification and I have weapons qual in a couple of weeks. I just moved to sac and dont know my way around yet. Im right side dominant and have used a medical patch but can still see so it ruins my aim. Where can I find a pirate patch in sacramento?

if your left eye dominant and your shooting a long weapon, shoot with your left hand. your eye is dominant! why screw it up, when you already have good sight with that eye??? if your shooting a pistol, either tilt your head a little and shoot with your left eye or shoot using both eyes open

Being left eye dominant and right-handed is not a problem. It took me a while, but I learned to shoot with both eyes open. Little weird at first but you get used to it.
If you will be firing a weapon that has an optical sight mounted on, make sure that you've got your eye relief perfectly adjusted. That will help you quickly acquire the target through it. Also, it will give one of your eyes the use of the optical sights as well as the use of your other eye for target acquisition outside the scope of your sights.
Of course, with iron sights, you pretty much have to change the way you rest your cheek against the stock in order to get the proper eye relief but that's something else you can get used to working around with both eyes open.

Go to wal-mart and buy some black or green felt fabric from the crafts section. Then buy some elastic cord or strapping from the crafts section.
