Do you really WANT to go to the Celestial Kingdom with someone you're not "in love" with anyway.??What if the girl you love is NOT a Mormon?Don't you still have to go to heaven with her? What if the girl you really love is'nt in the same heaven?Would'nt the real heaven be in being with her?You will love her anyway I'm afraid.God throws us curveballs sometimes...So strange.

I'm an agnostic and borderline atheiest..Which for me,means I'm prepared for ANYTHING..Not afraid of Hell, and little else I'm afraid of as far as religious punishment tactics. So,in this life ,I live less of a living Hell, where as others are always so afraid of going to Hell that they create Hell on Earth here for themselves and others.

I feel qualified to answer this...I'm a Mormon, but I'm married to an agnostic.
You obviously wouldn't marry a woman for eternity, to live with in the Celestial Kingdom, unless you really loved that person. If for some reason you fell out of love, and possibly in love with someone else, then you would get a divorce, just like most people in this country do. However, divorce isn't something you should plan on.
Now, if you do fall in love with a girl who isn't Mormon, then you can choose to marry her or not. I chose the first. But, by marrying a girl who isn't Mormon I have also made the conscious choice not to be sealed to my spouse, and therefore will not live/be married with/to my spouse in the Celestial Kingdom. Because we aren't sealed in the temple we will be judged by God and will receive our "sentence" individually and will remain alone for eternity. Who really knows where we will be and what we will be doing, but it is certain we won't be progressing together and having spirit children (as this is what the Mormons believe). Because we won't be together it won't be "heaven" as you state.
Because I love my wife so much I have chosen to live my mortal life with her and enjoy every minute of it. I remain an active Mormon and have a wonderful life, including a wonderful wife and son. You may say it was a curve ball when my wife came into my life, but I am grateful for it. It is strange at times, because we never know what will come into our lives, but this does not mean we still don't have a conscious choice to make for which we will be judged. Hope that wasn't too much rambling.

My thinking is this - why would you share your life with someone here on earth that you didn't want to spend eternity with??
This may sound harsh, but if your marriage is not sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, in the temple, your marriage will end with death. That's just how it is. God has his ways and blesses us if we obey his ways and do what he asks. I look at it this way too - for all the blessings I receive now and can receive in the Celestial Kingdom, there is nothing he has commanded that I cannot do, no commandment that is not worth what I will get if I obey it.
Also, you will not be in the Celestial Kingdom, the highest level, without being eternally sealed to your spouse. That is the highest ordinance of the Priesthood, the "new and everlasting covenant of marriage".

Well, marriage is all about commitment isn't it? Is about being true to your wife, and true to the covenant that were made in the LDS temple before God.
Any other way or intentions, or disloyalty will make us unworthy of the celestial blessing.
It is disappointing to see modern day couples, man or woman, LDS or not, who do not hold true to their words. Who is lost in the midst of temptations.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is organized to benefit all who participate, and all are expected to assist in its labors (see Activity in the Church; Lay Participation and Leadership; Ward Organization). The Church is administered according to the principles of individual involvement, service, and self-government. There is no paid ministry in local wards or stakes, and the work of the Church is carried out through volunteer service by the members, who are called by priesthood leaders to contribute in various capacities. Callings may be general requests or assignments to follow some particular instruction for the benefit of the Church, assignments to serve in the priesthood, or requests to fill specific administrative, teaching, or service-oriented positions. They are usually for indefinite periods of time. Committed Latter-day Saints accept and fulfill one or more callings at any given time. Called by Church leaders whom Latter-day Saints support as inspired representatives of the Lord, members serve until they are released, often because they are called to other positions that need their talents, and as the inspiration of the Holy Ghost indicates.

Mormon's are stupid!!
Read the book "Leaving the Saints - How I left mormonism and found my faith". I can't remember the author's name but it's a great personal account of what goes on "behind the closed doors" of the mormon religion. And, who the heck is Joseph Smith?? I don't see his name in the bible??

I think this question is one that could be posed to all religions ...
What if you're wrong? Is everyone prepared for that?
