Have you ever seen the show on MTV called My Super Sweet 16? These kids have everything they want and treat people horribly. Just watching it makes me cringe.
Children that get everything they want don't develop any backbone or pride. If something terrible happens in their life they are less likely to be able to cope with the situation. They are known to treat children that are not as privledged with less decency and respect.
I say provide your children with everything they need and only give them what they want sporatically.

I wouldn't have liked that. I wouldnt' have respected them or felt I had a sense of bounderies and safety. I am an adult and still dont' get everything I want. That would have not prepared me for the world

I would not trade my parents for anything. I however did not go without anything growing up but material things does not equal love.

I know it's not right for parents to spoil their children like that....but hell, I wouldn't refuse if they were giving me all that I want! :D

Of course any kid would like to get whatever they want..However, this can leave the kids spoiled and selfish.
