If you want to use a picture other than your Yahoo! Avatar, find a picture on a website. Your picture must be in the JPEG format (JPEG files usually end with ".jpeg" or ".jpg" or ".jpe."), each image must be smaller than 5MB. Right click on it, and on the pop-up menu click Save Picture As, and save it to My Pictures or wherever you want to save it, or use one you already have saved, or scan one to your computer.
If the picture you want to use is not jpeg, jpg or jpe, save it anyway, click the picture to open it. right click the picture and click Edit and it will take you to Paint, click File, click Save As, click the down arrow where it says Save as type and select JPEG, click Save.
Once you have a picture saved that you want to use, go to your Yahoo! 360°, go to My Page on your Yahoo! 360° and click Edit Personal Photos, click Browse and browse My Pictures (or wherever you have it saved) and find the picture and click on it and it will be sent to your Yahoo! 360°, click Save. Go to My Page on your Yahoo! 360° and click Edit Personal Photos, on the page that opens click Set as primary and click Save.
If you don't have a Yahoo! 360°, click Get my Yahoo! 360° account now! on your Yahoo! Answers Edit My Info page, and open a Yahoo! 360°, or click here. http://360.yahoo.com/
Now go to Yahoo! Answers and your Yahoo! Answers profile (click My Q&A or your nickname to get to your profile), click Edit My Info, on the page that opens tick Use my Yahoo! 360 Picture, click Preview, and on the next page that opens click OK.

get yahoo 360
set a primary picture of a real pic
then change ur default picture to yahoo 360

If you don't have a Yahoo 360 profile start one & then add a pic & use it.

Click on your user name.
Then click on edit my info.
On this screen you can choose to use a picture from your computer.
