How can anyone tell you how to sound like a German? It would take more than you could do in the written word. YOu have to hear it for yourself.

I could tell you a few things, but it wouldn't be enough.

For example, don't say cat like in English, but kaht to rhyme more with hot.

If you had to say: "What is your answer?" It would sound like:
"Vaht iss your ahnsehr?"

I've been cast as a german man in a play.

Aiyf been cahst ahss eh chermen mahn een eh plehh.

sorry, but as someone who has actually lived in germany and talked with many germans, germans do not say such ridiculous things such as w's pronounced like v's when speaking English. That's just a stupid sterotype!

I speak german, but it's hard ot explain how to fake an accent. hrere are a couple tips:
-pronounce "w" as a "v"
-"th" like "d" or "s"
good luck!

pronounce "w" as a "v": instead of saying William, say Villiam.
Pronounce "v" as an "f": say fife, instead of five.
pronounce "th" as an s: go vissout instead of without.

go to youtube and look for videos of comedian Sacha Baron Cohen playing his character "Bruno" who is supposed to be an austrian guy. It's a funny way to learn and hopefully it will help and give you ideas.
