a water pistol will do the job - short sharp spray a few times and the cat won't be back - i used that method to stop my cats scratching furnature and it worked a treat.

Cover the car with aluminum foil, cats hate stepping on that.
Otherwise you will have to try using smells the cat doesn't like to discourage it from going near your car. Tiger droppings work but can be hard to get.

put lemon skins and orange skins under the window wipers ( not on the paint work !)

or throw water at the cat when on the car but make sure the neighbours are not watching !

Walk up to the cat one morning, preferably if it is still on your car bonnet, and ask nicely. Would you please stop laying your furry self on my bonnet as I'm looking to get a new car and if i find your ****ing hairy **** on my new car I'm gonna rip you a new arsehole!!.

jesus here we go again another omgawed a cat on my car as if i dont control most of this world humans take advantage of evrey thing animals were here befor us thier for this is rightfully thier land not ours stop crying over your car knock on your neighbors door and tell them to keep thier pet inside or you will call animal control just say that make a pretend threat to call animal control to scare the owners of the cat to keep the cat inside and they will.

spray it with a little water when you catch it on your car and keep doing so each time and it'll get the message.

Spray it with water, be it from a hose or a small spray bottle...it will teach it to stay away.
