I realize that sometimes people need advice, but a wise man once said that we should never share with others the joys and sorrows that are ours and ours alone--so therefore I'm wondering if it's a good idea to ask others (strangers included) about problems or situations that occur within my relationship with someone...such as a girlfriend/fiance? Or is it better to not ask because the outside advice may persuade me to dislike that person, and thereby say something to hurt the relationship?
I would like both male and female opinions please.

Dear, when you ask advice is to see from another person`s point of view.... and perhaps there are things that you don`t know and another person who has already gone through this situation advice might help you and always remember this....
when you are given an advise you should analyse it and not act upon whatever people tell you... because you are the one in this situation,
Advice is to help you find your way and to erase confusion.... it is not bad to ask advice instead it might be helpful....
but you should not do whatever any body tells you, you should take into account their advice, see if it fits in the situation, would solve it and the most important thing is to do what your heart tells you...what you feel you should do dear...

If you have someone you can trust to talk too is ok but not really a good idea to to discuss personal things with anyONE. Reasons are: if you discuss a subject 2 someone, they'll develope their own personal ideas and feelings on top of what you already feel. Then when, if, the problem is resolved, the person you talk too has developed ideas about that person and you can't undo it. Then you may look, feel, like a goof for thinking whatever. Also, if you talk to the one that counts the most -- each other. Pray if your a believer about whatever the problem is and ask for the ability to hear the answer. If you can't hear the answer, best to not act until you know or have an idea of what to do.

But I would never do such a thing!! If I have a problem with my Mr. I need to give him the respect to go to him with the problem, not everyone else. I expect the same thing from him. I do not need everyone in this small town knowing my business nor do I need the advice of perfect strangers on this subject...

Relationships are very personal cuz U get into a relation based totally on your own criteria and choice. Your reasons can be no 1 else`s reasons. SO U can discuss your relatioships and reasons with some 1 u know will be unbiased and some 1 who gives u intelligent feedback.
discussions can help u see something from a completely different angle.. so it can help.
But then it should only be a discussion and not an advice.
Do wat U want in the end..

Yes...i don't see any harm at all and furthermore, u can get loads of good advises too..only from genuine strangers of cos..some are just retards which u cld easily know. But remember, whenever u want a good advise, make sure u give a proper question and be specific abt it so genuine strangers cld give u a good advise/help...cos he/she might encounter what ur going thru bt at last...the decision is still urs and never blame it on others if its wrong.

Nobody is an island of knowledge. But you must be carefull whom you ask such questions. It is advisable to ask a wise person who does not know your partner to avoid sentiments.Please note that you don't just ask any quetion. You must really know the type of question to ask.Naturally Ladies don't like you discussing them to a third party but there are times that it is unavoidable.

I personaly ask the others for their opinions. the other's experiences can be usefull sometimes. so you've got to have the essential thing from your discussion and not to apply it as it is. you shouldn't go to anybody. you've got to make a choise because some people couldn't really help. i talk to my experienced friends and the wise ones. and at last it's up to you to make a decision... It's a good idea to have a close circle of friends around to ask advice from. Also good to have a mentor/parent/pastor/leader/ or someone older and possibly wiser to ask advice from since they have been around and may be able to help.

Ppl do say dont share ur problems ....but dis is 1 site wer i find answers are good and they help a lot .............u can share ur problems here....it'll definately be helpful...and ur identity will always be a secret....

yeah it's right to listen to the advice of others but still it depend in you. bear in mind that you are the one driving your life. the failure and success is laid on you. those advices are only your reference in making your decisions.Goog Luck to your journey in life!!!
