Yup, without question. this is inner ear infection. The fluid in your ear that maintains your body balance is all confused because it is infected. The bacteria is playing havoc with your daily life.
How to stop this? Ear drops that is available after consultation with your ENT specialist.
How did you get it? You inserted some object in your ear to either clean (Q tips) or you were swimming and the water contaminated your inner ear. Even clean swimming pools (so called "clean") can cause such problems.
I do have sympathy for people with this problem. It is terrible. It usually lasts for about 3 months. If you are diligent with your treatments, it may even get better, sooner.
Good luck.

You got the Vertigo. Did you hit ya head recently?
Either you see the doctor else try ear candling.
I have serious bouts of vertigo after i injured my head.
Visits to the doctor cannot cure my monthly attacks.
One day, I bypassed a wellness shop and had ear candling cos it was said to cure vertigo. I am so GLAD I gave it a try.
I like it cos my ears went popping a few hours later after the treatment.
Medically or scientifically proven or not... I am not so sure.
Since medication does not work on me. Try other options.
Now... no more suffering from bad vertigo at all!

either inner ear (or alcohol!), chances are you have an infection or wax blocking it. Could even be water from swimming. Best bet is to get it looked at by your doctor. If its an infection you need to get it sorted if its nothing to do with the inner ear you need to find out what it is. Small chane but you could be reacting badly to something in your diet.

I had that and it was an inner ear infection only thing was that I was staggering when walking it looked as though I was drunk only was not. Your best bet would be go see your GP and they will give you correct treatment for infection or it may be as some others answered vertigo. Good luck

Yes, this sounds like a vestibular problem. The sensory organs responsible are indeed located in your inner ear. Need to get to a doc to get the specific cause worked up.

There are a number of things that can cause that. It needs to be diagnosed so you can find out what the cause is. I had a case like that a long time ago and after some meds, it never came back. See a medical doctor.

Sounds like benign positional vertigo. You could have an ear infection or it could just come and go for no apparent reason. Best have your doctor check it out.

An ENT problem- see a consultant. Something called an 'Eppley' manoevre can be used to cure this type of thing, but make sure you see an ENT consultant fairly soon
