Your question reminded me of an old Beatles movie called 'The Yellow Submarine". At one point in the movie, there was a "sea of black holes". They would fall into a hole and get caught up into the experience in the hole. Then they would climb out and go into another one until it was realized that they could climb out of the black hole any time they chose to. It was up to them what they wanted to experience.

Perhaps it's a good time to take control of your life and direct yourself to something that will lift your spirits in a life supporting way. You deserve it! Go for it!

ATM i downloaded The Ramones complete discography. I simply realised how incredible they're, and the hundreds of bands (adding your little MCR band and Fray) have copied them in such a lot of methods. They are probably the most usual bands round. Beat at the brat beat at the brat beat at the brat with a baseball bat Oh yeah oh yeah woo hoo hoo Haha its soo addictive!! EDIT There used to be no factor of any non-mcr fanatics answering this question coz absolutely you're going to prefer any one who's the targeted equal as you..

First off we have all had our hearts broken by one thing or another. And it takes time to heal. But there is a point where you have to allow humor, life and sunlight back into your life. I suggest you start listening to other kinds of music to begin with. Music is supposed to be a celebration of life. It wasn't meant to keep you in the dark. We all get moody and listen to dark tunes sometimes but you need to balance it out with music that makes you smile or soar too. Try to be around positive people too. I doubt you want to spend the rest of your life feeling sorry for yourself, that is a nowhere road.
Being hurt will happen to you again and you have to find things in life you can hang onto while you go thru the dark times. Watch comedy films and listen to fun music.
Only you can make things better for yourself. You have to really want to.
I wish you well.

I used to be like that b/c it was easy to relate to. I had a crappy upbringing...used to do drugs with my parents back in high school. Anyway, you get stuck in rut and a way of feeling. It's like a "depression high", for lack of a better term. But only when things get worse can they get better. My dad tried to kill himself, couple years later I tried to kill myself, but I finally got the meds I needed, I left home, I joined the Army, I got married and I don't feel that way any more. You gotta change your surroundings or your life and state of mind will never change.

the problem is not the music; it's the depression. seek counseling and/or psychiatry services and consider getting on an anti-depressent and/or taking other steps to alleviate your depression, i.e. yoga and exercise.
