Water is a wonderful place to start!

Start examining your diet. Is it well balanced? Are you reducing your calories to 1200 - 1500 per day? Are you eating at least that many? It is very easy to over or under eat if you are not carefully watching this, measureing portion sizes, and counting the calories.

The other thing... try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise, 3 times a week. Not only does this burn calories, but it releases endorphines which make you feel happy!

Water is good for you and everything, but really it's not going to help you lose weight (unless you're not drinking enough). Diet, exercise, and consistancy. Make a plan, plan out your meals a head of time, the worst thing to do is to get hungry, and want to go for something easy like junk food or high fat, high cal, high carb snacks. Take in a lot of protein, if possible, it helps with muscle build. Remember muscle weighs more than fat too, so if you're exercising consistantly, and still not losing, it might be because you're gaining muscle. Just be consist, and stick to your plan.

Give it time. It takes a lot of time to lose weight. It was almost 4 months before I started seeing a difference in my body, but the scale said the weight was gone.

Stick with it and you'll see the difference.

Like they always say, it didn't take a week to put it on. Don't expect for it to come off in a week.

The biggest part of going on a diet is having self control. This is the same with people trying to quit smoking or stop drinking alcohol. You need to make a diet plan and stick with it. As with addicts you need to surround yourself with people who support you in your decision to lose weight. Stop hanging out with people who eat whatever and don't care. Call friends who care and can/will give good advice when you are feeling down and need help.

Are you really overweight? Make sure its not your own self-image. Test your BMI online.

Eat salads, and ease off the sweet foods you like until they are eliminated from your diet. I know its hard, but its really important if you want to maintain a healthy lifestyle to not eat major sweets.
Maintain a well-balanced diet, and exercise with regularity. Walks, runs (eventually), aerobics, stretching, pilates, join a gym, treadmill, ride a bike, there are a million forms of exercise to choose from.
Don't cut off bread, pasta, and wheat (unless you're allergic). Just lessen the portions. Your body still needs those things, for proper nutrition, refer to the Food Pyramid.
Veggies are great, as is fruit. Yogurt too. Fruit/yogurt salads! Yummy!
Tips...
--Eat breakfast, small-size lunch, dinner.
--Cut down snacks to a necessity. It depends how long you go between your three meals of the day. Eat healthy ones when you do. I'm not talking carrots, just like a pasta salad, or slice of bread or some light crackers.
Best of luck!

nicely your no longer on a foodstuff plan for one, a foodstuff plan consists of ingesting small foodstuff many times, like various 2 hours which you're no longer doing, subsequently you're unlikely to loose weight. it is not undesirable to eat after 7pm, yet at evening your metabolism slows down considering you're no longer as energetic, so theres a extra physically powerful risk the foodstuff you eat will turn to fat, yet once you're no longer ingesting fatty meals then you would desire to be ok. what style of activity are you doing? are you waiting to take some snacks in with you to be certain you eat each few hours? once you paintings over 4 hours interior the day you're entitled to a smash of 10 minutes, while that is over 6 hours you're entitled to a lunch smash, nicely that is how this is have been i'm from.

Try a different diet. Different ones work for different people. Also remember it took you years to put on that extra weight. It takes time to take it off.

if you slip up, just give yourself a break...tell yourself you'll start back up on the diet the next day. just do your best, and understand that dieting is not a do or die-----if you make a mistake, you can still keep on going!
