I have met this guy a few months ago, but this past December he asked for my #. He called the same day, which I was very surprised. We went out on a date that same week and hit it off well. We talked about our past relationships, and he told me that he had broken up with his girlfriend of 5 1/2 yrs. earlier that month. We went out for a second time. A week after that he stopped calling. When I called and asked why he hasn't called, he said that he's been busy. Then he would call 2-3 times a week. But then again, the calls stopped. When I called him a week ago, he told me that he was talking to his ex gf but was not back with her. I told him that we shouldnt see each other anymore because I didnt like the idea that he is talking to her, but he told me I shouldnt worry. But I feel like if Im the rebound, and he might get back with his ex gf at anytime. What should I do? Do I just let it be? Or back off? Advice please.

I suggest u back off for now, He obviously isnt sure what he wants and he needs to take time and find out. If he is still talking to her on a regular basis he probably isnt ready to let her go and he cant commit to you if he is unsure of his feelings. Even if you do start dating he could very possibly hurt you. Until he has gotten over the break up and decided what and who he wants you should leave him be.

How long have you been together and how old are you? Tell her you want time to improve yourself, and focus on ....(family, sports, whatever) Give yourself 4 weeks of cut off time after telling her your going to take a break. You will know a lot by then. I've been there time will tell. Out of everyone guessing who told the truth?...time did. 4 weeks is a small amount of time but in your head thinking of her it will feel like forever. Get involved in something now is your chance to find yourself, find something that you find fun, get your bearings. As a tactic to get her back if that was the case yea have her see you with another girl and she will come flying your way fighting for you. Give it time your and her true feelings will be realized in time. If you get back together go to a book store and look at a book about "having a HEALTHY relationship" Chill and spend time with your mom, dad , or puppy you'll figure it out.

You should back off and see what happens. Ive been there, and if the person youre dating is still talking to their ex, it always leads down a bad road. If you try and start a relationship with him, this whole talking to the ex thing is going to cause problems. If hes still talking to her on a regular basis, then hes not over her and there is a pretty good chance that they will get back together. Sorry and good luck..

would you imagine your coming days without him by your side? are you willing to give him up for the fact that even he has assure you and you still happen to lost you trust on him?. You know girl friend boys are really hard to understand, because it's in there nature to be quiet and settle things on there own... Maybe, he is settling things straight in order for the two of you to start a new. his courageous enough to say "you shouldn't worry" it means he mean it.. give him time to settle things and understand him more.. Maybe his ex-girlfriend is threatening him or something or she has the hidden agenda on breaking both of you apart. Would you want to her to win over your man?? trust me, don;t give up on him, what's yours is forever yours.. but first give your boyfriend the benefit of the doubt.. If he really doesn't love you and your just a rebound, would he hold you back from the moment you almost give up, i don't think so! he wants you and loves you, you got to be more supportive, maybe he is into something that no one knows and his afraid that no one might understand him.
