One day I went out and when I came back I noticed that my cats whiskers on one side were shorter as if someone cut them. I know it wasn't me and my husband said it wasn't him. I don't know what happened but I just want to know if they will grow back.
Hope you guys can help.

To clarify what most of the current answers are saying, the trimmed whiskers will not regrow to their previous length. However, over time they will shed and the replacement whiskers that grow in will achieve the proper length [specifically, long enough that the span of whiskertip to whiskertip is about the width of your cat].

efficient, they develop lower back and are also shed. and she will be able to no longer walk in a tilt. My one kitten in all likelihood had the whiskers on one area of her face chewed off through her 'sister'. It did not look to faze her, besides the actual undeniable reality that it gave her an exciting seem. They grew lower back in some months to a similar length as the different whiskers.

Yes, your cat will grow her whiskers back. In the meantime, she could have a balance problem and a perception problem from them being cut on one side.

no. whiskers dont grow back. if they are cut the cat would be walking in a strange way. the whiskers keep the cat balanced and if they were cut we hope that it wasn't very much because ur cat could of died.

yes , the whiskers will grow back. the whiskers are part of a cats sensory system and need them to be the proper length to properly evaluate things. they do fine without them but it makes things easier i suppose.

Yes, they certainly will. There are some old wives tales about something to do with their balance, and another one is that they can fit through anything as wide as their wiskers, ha on the contrary. My cat had woke me up in the middle of the night meowing and tapping me. Finally I turned on the light and forced my eyes open to find my poor cat had a wad of tape stuck to her wiskers. I got most of it off with baby oil, but had to snip a couple. They are all back.

Yes they will. I did this to my cat when I was a child. It took a while, but they will grow back.
