Jesus wept.
So does most of humanity but Jesus did something about it!

From the New International version (NIV), Hebrews, Chapter 12 verses one, two, and three:
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses->let us throw off everthing that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race that is marked out before us.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning itss shame, and sat down at the right hand of thr throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that YOU will not grow weary and loose heart."

There was one in Romans that was like, for all fall short of the Glory of God....I tried looking it up now....if you could email me the verse back? I also like Psalms, they are very uplifting when dealing with stress. I also like the Old testament when reading stories to my son, they are almost like fairy tales, but so much more amazing since they actually happened.

I also like the first four books in the New testament, they have Jesus' walk on this earth and have a lot of witness material for dealing with nonbelievers.

Ok, well, I like the whole Bible, who cares, but if you would, and you know it, email that verse in Romans, that is the one I was saved to, if you know it. I learn more by meaning instead of memory but I know the point of the verse,,,,,if anyone doesn't belive in God their is a spiritual gap between God and man. Jesus came to put a bridge in that gap so that we might come to God through Christ. Only by faith and by God's grace is that path open.

God bless you brother/sister in Christ, I liked your question and it would be good for me to try to memorize the scriptures....

Well I like Romans 12:2a, probably because even before I was a Christian, I thought it was a cool verse.

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

It goes on a little bit, but includes God so when I wasn't a Christian, I wasn't interested in that last part.

019.088 They say: "God Most Gracious has begotten a son!"
019.089 Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!
019.090 At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin,
019.091 That they should invoke a son for God Most Gracious.
019.092 For it is not consonant with the majesty of God Most Gracious that He should beget a son. (quran)

"Abstain from all appearance of evil" 1 thess. v.21

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; who made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant."
Phillipians 2: 5, 7

Paul talks about being 'crucified in Christ' and to follow these two verses are to truly crucify yourself. Jesus said, 'love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength' and to follow this, you can make no concession to society in your actions, words, and even appearance. Jesus said, 'you are the light of the world' and, 'who would light a lamp and hide it' (paraphrase.) how can you follow Jesus if you look and act like people who are not doing so?
