Maybe there was a glitch. The Mormons believe the Book of Mormon is "another testament." That is was revealed to Joseph Smith by an angel. Joseph Smith claimed to have found some golden tablets, but later lost them. They believe that we will become "as God is" and will populate our own heavens, which is what encouraged polygamy and having lots of children. Ask some serious questions before you get involved. They have strong programs and communities and a lot of what they talk about sounds good until you dig deeper.

The angel Moroni tale has also been replaced because the first version of the P.of G.P. become revealed in 1851. That version stated that the angel "Nephi" printed the gold plates to Smith (p. 40-one). different early Mormon factors which factor out the angel Nephi are: The Millennial star Vol III, pp. fifty 3, seventy one and circumstances and Seasons Vol. III pp. 749, 753. in the latter quantity on web page 710, Joseph Smith stated, "This paper commences my editorial occupation. I on my own stand in charge for it." subsequently, if the angel's call is incorrect, Smith is at fault. In 1853, Joseph's mom, Lucy Mack Smith, also stated the angel's call become Nephi (Biographical Sketches, p. seventy 9). maximum Mormons in the present day have not in any respect heard that the angel Nephi printed the gold plates to Joseph Smith. yet, Mormons assume the B. of M. must have come from God if an angel printed it to Joseph Smith.
