Are there any other important figures in the Islamic religion besides Muhammad?

Well? Are there? I know of Muhammad but I don't know of any other important figure that is highly noted in the Islamic religion. If you think there is any other figure that is important please list them.

Muhammed (SAW) is thee most important prohet in Islam but there are other that are important, MUSA(pbuh) (Known as Moses - the jewish prophet) & Isa (AS) (Isa is jesus to the christians) - they are very important to Islam, we believe that
Jesus has not been crucified , he is alive & will later on come down & embrace Islam. There many other prophets in Islam - the above mentioned are the main 3 prophets - all the prophets are loved & respected

Islam is thee only religion that accepts , respects & loves all the prophets - many religions always leave out disregard some of the prophets.

The Prophets wives played an important figure in Islam - thier knowledge & courage was impotant to Islam, Especially Bibi Ayesha (ra) her amazing contribution to Islam is recognised all over the world.

To the lady that said Ayesha (Ra) was 9 years old when the prophet married her you are wrong, There is no where in the quran that it states she was 9 years old, you may have recieved your information in a misintepreted hadith. the facts are on this link

I'm not going to think if there is any other important figure. There are many but you must understand that Mohammad is the mosr revered because he is the "prophet" of Islam. There is also his family which include his cousin Ali (pbuh), his daughter Fatima (pbuh), his grandchildren Al Hasan and Al Hussein (pbut) and many more. There are also friends of the prophet whom Muslims respect like Othman, Abu Bakr, Omar, etc. These are all important figures but none are as "highly noted", as you said, as Mohammad. It's like Christianity, no figure is as highly noted as Jesus, right? Anyways, I hope I've helped. Take care.

There were the Righteous Caliphs, the 4 Leaders after the Prophets death, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali.

There are also the 4 Noble Imams, Imam Hanifa, Hanbal, Malik, and Shafi'i.

There were also many other notable scholars, of the top of my head, Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, and some of the other Sunan Compilers.

In my opinion of the best scholars was Ibn Kathir, I currently study his 4000+ page volume, commentary on the Qu'ran, its explanation with Authentic hadith, and the history of that time.

But we worship only God, these are just pious and righteous people.

Muhammad (pbuh) is the prophet of Islam. that's why he is important to the Islamic religion. Muslims believe that he is the last messenger from allah (god) and he came with the last holly book (the Quran) and Muslims should follow his steps and what he has said.
