I am a girl who has had in the past addction to cocaine, crank, and many other drugs. I am now married, and I never even think about using drugs again. Beating an addiction can make you a very strong person.
The only thing you need to consider is if it's truly in her past. If she is clean, then leave it be and don't judge, because I'm sure that there's something in your past she will disagree with, as well. Judge her by her future actions, not her past.

The past is the past. Yay! Go ahead! Listen to your heart!
Even, marriage, why not? We all have our pasts, if that should be taken as something to hold us back, no one would get any positive chance in this world. The past is the past.
All the best!

Everybody has made mistakes in their past, but choosing not to date someone who has had trouble with drugs isn't fair! Be happy that they were honest with you and didn't try to hide it!

definitely! there is nothing wrong in dating a girl who has a painful past... It's not as if it's crime to commit mistakes, I'm sure you had your fair share of mistakes (everybody does) would you want people to discriminate and judge you the way you judge her???? That's why its called "past" cause she knew what went wrong and she was brave enough to stand up and face life with pride that somehow she made it.

Everybody deserves a second chance. Of course, there's always that risk of her going back to old habits. Best you get to know her more before you pop the big question.
Happy loving!
