An audio was sent to me in a mp3 format, when I went to play it in the media player it stated there is an error.

if there was en error with it in mp3 format more than likly it won't be able to convert to anything else.

Ask the person who sent it to send again, it sounds like you got a partial file and that's what is causing the error. If you do want to convert MP3 to another format then Audacity is a great free utility to record and modify sound files. Try the link below, Good luck!

Hi, ok about your question, i use Free Mp3 Wma Converter, is a freeware. These formats are allowed: aac, ape, mp3, ogg, wav, wma. You can find it in www.download.com, it's about 9 mb.

About your problem with the media player, that's another story, so good luck with that...i recommend winamp.

Do you simply wanna convert it?..or there's trouble playing it?
If you need to just convert it....you can download pretty lot softwares like:- dbPowerAMP music Converter...or CDex.
and if still the file doesn't play...check your source if it has not been damaged...or corrupted. usually Media Player doesn't Turn with errors in playing mp3 files.

it is very simple ,u can use a player jet audio when you sing a song then u just click on the recording button and in this by clicking appropriate option like wave file and so, and play the song.
then the no. of s\f are in the market like mp3 converter u just find out it .

Are you sure is in Mp3 format?
If it yes, maybe your mp3 file has a "stratch".

You can convert mp3 to wav with Nero Wave Editor.
