you need to switch shampoos. try the ascience shampoo and a deep treatment condition. go for redken if you have the money to spare. it turned my grizzly bear hair into silky locks! and you need a good hair serum.

one thing that my stylist has always had me do is to drench my hair in conditioner (ask your stylist to recommend one for you) then to wrap something around it - a towel, one of those plastic shopping bags, or even a swimming cap. use a clip to secure it. i do this several times a week before i go to bed and keep it in all night. i also like to do this while my hair is dry, i feel that my hair absorbs more of the conditioner without it getting watered down as it would if my hair were wet. the key is to rinse it out completely. also, wash your hair only once! when you do use conditioner in the shower, don't use it all over your hair, just the ends. you can buy products that can put shine in your hair without having to use oils that are heavy and weight your hair down giving it that lifeless look. check with your stylist for thoughts and ideas or visit a beauty supply store - they have a lot more options for "special needs" hair! good luck!

Hair oil sucks. Try an intensive conditioner. Also try John Frieda's "Secret Weapon" from the Frizz-Ease line. It can make your hair look oily if you use too much, but just enough and the hair will actually stay smooth and not just dry up. Also any silicone-based shine product is usually good on dry hair.

Dry hair can be a sign of hypothyroidism or another underlying cause. Then again, it could be hereditary or caused from over tinting or bleaching.
Personally I like "Mane and Tail" shampoo because it imparts a shine to my hair and gives lots of body.
Try a treatment of "mayonnaise" on your hair overnight once a week and see if that helps.

Do not use baby oil on your hair. Go to a hairdresser and get the name of a good shampoo and conditioner.

- Put cucumber and watermelon in a mixer and massage mixture onto freshly shampooed hair. Leave it on for 15 minutes. Then rinse.
- You can try rinsing your hair with vinegar also. Take one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and add to a pint of water. This rines removes shampoo residue and adds shine and lustre to hair. Finally, rinse hair thoroughly with plain water to remove the smell.
- Freshen oily hair with lemon by squeezing the juice of two lemons into a pint of distilled water before rinsing your hair with it.
