Careful on the generalisations - 'Why are you all so racist?' The reason you probably get looks is because you are paranoid and that is what makes people glance twice. Give people credit and just as you want a fair go here let them give you a fair go!
As for your name - I don't associate a name with a nationality as I have friends with names from other cultures and nationalities and know that a name does not determine your beliefs.

In any case, Kathy has obviously never read the Koran......the version of supposed Islam preach by "Islamist" militants, is a cruel farce that should not be tolerated by honest Muslims.
The message of violent militants, whatever their professed religion, is the same as it has always been since the beginning of civilization. It may be that Islam is simply a convenient vehicle for these ideas.They are:
-Our morals and ideals are from a higher power: they cannot be subjected to scrutiny or examination.
-We are superior, other people are inferior: you cannot trust other people
-The bad things that happen to us are the fault of other people: we need to punish other people for the bad things that happen to us.
These are the same ideas perpetuated by the NAZI's. The same ideas as the Ku Klux Klan. The same ideas as the Crusaders, the same ideas as Europeans used when they exterminated the American natives.
These Ideas are not perpetuated for the sake of religion, they are perpetuated for the sole purpose of getting and keeping power.
