that's a wide open question when we don't know what he likes.

Sports?.....then a tobogan of his favorite team.
Books?.....a recent best seller or book of a favorite author
Music?....a Cd of a singer/group he likes.

bottom line, nothing expensive, nothing mushy, just a nice 'friend' gift.

I did this thing for my boyfriend after we'd only be going out a day (it was valentines day the day after, we were friends beforehand though) and it was a hamper type thing of all red things. I put in red cordial, red doritos, malteasers, this red soap and just a whole bunch of red things. You could do heaps with it and that way it wouldn't be something useless like a teddy bear. Honestly once you start thinking of things it turns into a real good gift. Put it all into a basket or box, wrap in red celefane and you've got yourself a pretty awesome gift! You should definitely try it...i had so much fun thinking of little stupid things that were red to put in and you can put chocolate or whatever.

Concert tickets are always good. Plus if you buy 2, you both get to enjoy it and get to know eachother more in a different setting. If it's a really new relationship, concerts and movies help with the lull in conversation.....and even if it's one that's stood the test of time (like mine, 5 yrs strong) it's a nice gift. I get concert tickets every "hallmark" holiday - Valentine's Day and Sweetest Day. It's great, and fun, and something to look forward to.

Hi, i answered a similar q before...
Men, well i at least, dont expect anything big for Valentines day... just to still have "you" as "my" girl is enough... Try and think of that one special moment you had in this month and a half - there should be one - and do something to remind him about that moment... It shows him that you pay attention, and are still interested... Hope this helps.

I definitely know where you're coming from...my boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 weeks! I am having your same problem. But he is in love with basketball (and the Lakers) so I am gonna get him a Lakers license plate frame! Maybe just something you know he likes. Something thoughtful...but not too expensive. Wanna help me with MY problem?? : what to write in the card...=/(new relationships are hard...)

$5-$10. Nothing to much. You don't want to overwelm the guy. He might get the wrong signals and you may want to break up in a month and he won't.

I would say a small bear with a nice CD of a group or band he likes. Keep it simple as they dont like too mushy!!!

Does he like sports? How about a hat or beanie of his favorite team?
