Various states have some bizarre laws on the books about weapons.
Generally speaking, most states do not control the number of guns you own. However, you can get to the point of some official concern if you are keeping an arsenal of weapons and ammo on your property. Particularly, if you live in a residential neighborhood.
An acquaintance of mine is a gun collector, an active competitor, and writes for a couple gun magazines. It is not unusual for him to have over 100 guns in his vault. Since he competes and evaluates guns for his articles, he has huge quantities of ammo in his locked storage shed. I visited once and he had about 10,000 rounds of various calibers in that shed. He lives on a ranch and his nearest neighbor is miles away. Authorities are not concerned about him. They would be if he lived in town.

My daughter turned me in to the police. they put me in a mental hospital and went to my house to get my guns. when they saw my guns they didn't want them. they are old guns slow to fire. if I had a m16 or semI auto I would have been arrested for having them
I am not crasy. All it takes is someone to complan and you are put in a mental hospital. when you get there you have no rights no attorneys.
