One night, I was out for a walk when I looked up and saw the brightest star in the sky. I thought, "Why not make a wish?" so I did. Then I tripped. So when I got up, I looked up again, and the star wasn't there anymore. I asked my friend this question, and he said that the star left to send God the message. I didn't believe her on the spot. But then when I got home, I started thinking about it. Hmm...

Wishing on stars. Why? They hold no power or grant no wishes. It meant nothing, other than maybe you bumped your head when you tripped, or maybe the star was hid behind some clouds.

It means God became angry because you engaged in the un-Christian superstition of wishing upon a star and obliterated the celestial body and the sixteen planets orbiting it, four of which were inhabited by highly advanced beings.

Way to go.

Scientifically I'd say you were passing out, saw what looked like a star was the blood rushing to your eyes causing white spots.. and then you woke up & got up a little more sober.

When you wish on a star and it disappears after a few minutes, what does it mean?

It means there were clouds up there-- in the sky.

Well. When you look at a star directly, your focusing on it with your cones (theyre the part of your eye that sees color). What you gotta do is look to the side of that star and then your rods (the part of your eye that sees b&w and works well in dim light) will catch it.
