I'm going to be honest with you. It takes intense workouts and strict eating, but the good news is, it takes about 28 days for something to become a habit, so after a month of doing this, you will be able to do it without even thinking about it.
I lost 64 pounds in about 5 months before my wedding. I had a lot of motivation, as I had to look good on my wedding day. I did it by doing AT LEAST an hour of cardio workouts 6 days a week (Some I would suggest are running/walking intervals on the treadmill, Turbo Jam, Tae bo, etc) and also lifting weights at least 2 days a week. This seems hard at first, but soon you will start feeling so good it will be hard to stop. After about the first 2 months of doing this consistently, I honestly got to the point where I couldn't wait for the next day so I could run again. I worked my way up to running 7 miles a day. I felt unstoppable. I even inspired my sister, one of my bridesmaid's, and my wedding singer to join me!
My diet consisted of 5 small meals which had a good balance of lean proteins, complex carbs and healthy fats. A good rule of thumb is to take your weight and times it by 8. This is how many calories you should take in daily. This should be about 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% fat. Keep your meals simple, such as a lean chicken breast, a sweet potato, and steamed broccoli with 1 tsp of olive oil.
With this plan, I would say you should lose about 10-12 pounds a month. That is how mine came off. And don't get discouraged if you don't lose anything one week. It's called a plateau, and the next week, you will probabaly lose double the amount to make up for this.
Also...when the weight starts coming off and people start noticing and complimenting you...you will definitely stick with it. The hardest part is the beginning. If you can get past the first month, you should be home free.
Good luck!

Yes... I have lost 60 lbs in the last two years. I know it is a long time, but I wanted to keep the weight off and not use any gimmicks. All I did, and this is true, is modify my diet. Lower fats and lower processed sugars.Nothing real drastic and I didn't starve myself or have to buy any special foods. And I exercised more. A lot of walking, as fast as I can. Some running, not much, and lifting weights. I feel great now. What I did was change my lifestyle, and I changed my life. I was 300lbs when I started. Now I am under 240. I have been working on increasing my strenght lately so the weight loss as tapered off, but I am building muscle, so it is not bad. I like what I see in the mirror now. I feel better and look better than before. Just minor changes are all that is needed. Sticking with them is what creates the results. No short cuts, just plain, old fashoned weight loss. Good luck.

Good for you! Your goal of losing 50 pounds is totally doable, but will be hard to do by September. Generally, it is not recommended to lose more than 2 pounds per week, especially if you are under 18. I, as a nutritionist, do not believe in a "one size fits all" plan however. Your exercise routine sounds great, provided that 45 minutes is actual swimming, not floating:) What to eat and drink: Water!!! No alcohol. Drink water all day long. Always have it with you. Often times people confuse being thirsty for being hungry. Fill up on water and you will not be as likely to over-eat. Providing you are past all growth stages, usually around 17-18, I would feel comfortable with you eating between 1100-1500 kcals a day. Eat small snacks often. The best are nuts, seeds, fruit, and veggies. Goodluck. Your on the right path.

I lost about 100 pounds a couple years ago. Honestly what it all comes down to is having that will power to say no and keeping your goals. Basically what I did was eat my 3 meals a day, in the morning I had milk/OJ with a granola bar, at lunch I had a waster and a chicken salad, and for dinner I would usually have whatever was made but limit my portions. Buy small plates, drink a cup of water/milk/OJ/whatever before eating so you instead fill yourself up with fluids, not food. I gave up soda completely, and yes even diet soda, NO SODA, no cakes, ice cream, or any kind of sweets. So this sounds pretty bad huh? Well once a week I would allow myself to have one thing that is bad, but only a small sized portion! On holidays I would allow myself to eat the bad food but limit my portions and stay away from snacking. I worked out with weights and ran, but not to the point of killing myself. I was going to school when I did this so I didn't always have time to work out. It takes a REALLY long time to see results if any, when you look at yourself in the mirror you will notice nothing, but people will say you have lost weight and you will not believe them. The unfortunate part is when you look at yourself in the mirror you are used to the way you look so you don't believe you are any smaller, but the only real way you will prove to yourself that you are losing weight is by your pants. I know with mine they started to fall off and then I would have to drill more holes in the belt in order to keep the pants on, and eventually I had to go buy all new clothes, that was the greatest feeling ever.

I lost 50lbs in about 1-2 months. I did it by exercising. I would get the mirror out and just start dancing!!!! And then I would do some jumping jacks and sti ups. I also cut out soda. I ate pretty much the same but just tried to not eat REALLY bad stuff like twinkies and hohos and stuff.
I lost the weight around 15 or so.
It is really not that hard. It is common sense and most of all, will power. Once you stop eating junk food for 2 weeks you won't want it. (surprising, but true)
You'll be surprised how much you crave foods from nature!

Ephedra diet pills are scientifically proven to melt fat and raise metabolism without diet or exercise. I would recommend the Black Ice ephedra even though they have more of a selection with free shipping:
