can i have some advice please?

i really like this cute guy at school and i wanna ask him to sades dance but i dont think he has any fellings for me but i real realy like him the problom is he is one of my friends and i dont want to ask him get rejected and have our relationship as friends all screwed up i dont know what to do can you give advice on ways to hint that i like him without just going and asking him to the dance i dono what to do anything would help

You've got one good answer. Try asking him if he knows someone you can go with. Ask him who he's going with and perhaps you can all go together. The idea is to pressure him into thinking about you as a possible date for the dance. Either he has a date already or he doesn't...or he hasn't started thinking about it yet. So if you push the issue at least he will start thinking about it. If the two of you get talking about going to the dance you can always slip into the conversation that perhaps the two of you could go together...wouldn't that be interesting. Or you can suddenly say "Hey, that's a good idea, we can go together, thanks for asking". You have to pick the right time to say it, obviously misunderstanding whatever it was he said. Then if he tries to explain he wasn't asking you, you can say you're sorry you misunderstood...and smile and say everything is okay. That way you should be able to maintain the friendship and hope for something down the line. Good luck with this one.

Ask him. Your better off trying and failing rather not not trying and never knowing. I tried with a good friend of mine who was dating another guy. She ended up going back to him but I am still glad I tried.

Ask him questions like 'Are you going to the dance' and 'Who do you think you'll ask' to suss out whether he has feelings for another girl. If you choose your words carefully enough you can figure him out.
