I run 91 octane already. Will the booster help in any way? Or is it harmful.

Oy... High octane fuel causes high compression? Yikes, you don't know what you're talking about, dude.

But the answer to the question is you don't ever need to run octance boost. It will not help anything, and may be harmful.
you don't even need 91 octane. Save some money and switch back to 87. If you develop pinging, move up one grade.

Your car was made to run on low octane, buying a higher grade is just wasting your money. Yes octane boosters will in time hurt the sensors and also throw off your computer and you will end up with really bad gas mileage. Take it from someone who would not listen to others and found out the hard way at $350.00 a sensor and I had four of them

You would not really want to run octane booster. One bad side effect is higher compression. Just use gas additive for the carb or fuel injector cleaner at fill ups. I use an additive once a month. If your car runs rough when you put it in, that is the car's way of telling you that it is burning the carbon out. It takes time, but then eventually your car will start to run smooth again. That is, if the inside is dirty. It took my 92 Hyundai one month before it finally started running smooth. My brother sold it to me and he said he only did the oil change and tune ups, but never used the gas additive.

If you have to run high octane so you dan't get a pinging then you have a timing issue

It will not help or hurt you in any way. Runing higher octance you will not notice a differece. You can put it in you car and it will just waste your money. If you put racing fuel (100 or higher) in you car you might burn your piston rings and then it will not run good at all.
