Its happens not only in the military when someone is coverd with a blanekt and beaten for whatever reason, this takes place in the military to but is not the only area, it has been known to happen in prisons colleges and homes.

See the movie "Full Metal Jacket" a blanket party is showen in the film in the first half when the marines are in boot camp. It's not pretty.

Its an illegal action. It's when some one's squad mates cover him with a blanket and beat the **** out of him through the blanket.
You have to be a pretty major screw up or twit to get one.

People stand on opposite sides of your bunk, pull your blanket down so you can't move, and beat you, sometimes with pillow cases that have bars of soap inside. They beat your chest and stomach or back, never your face because it would show.
