Hello,

I made BIG mistake. Last week I went to a pro hairdresser and they made my hair dark brown, which I didn't want (I wanted medium). I should have gone back and had them fix it, but instead I took matters into my own hands. I bleached my hair with a home bleaching kit, and tried to tone it with a semi-permanent light brown shade, but now I have ugly bright orange hair.

I realize I have to go see a pro...I guess my question is is this fixable? Will the pro be able to fix it in one session? Can anyone give me more info? Anything would be appreciated. Thx!!

lucky you!!!! mine turned out bright neon yellow...............yes it can be corrected at a salon in one session. But you will need to keep up the deep conditioning .......... it really dries out the hair. be glad at least its winter and you can wear a hat till you can get it corected. Its always worth the money to go to a salon for coloring. Relax and good luck.

The hairdresser added color to your hair. You stripped color out of your hair and ended up with orange. You can strip more color out to go blond but if you want another color you will need to see a pro. You will still have redish blond if you do it at home. All dark hair will go thru orange to red if you strip it. The semi-permanent light brown is now permanent orange. You stripped the color out and it "grabed" the next color you put on it. Good luck.

They will either have to go really light or really dark to get rid of the orange. You apparently have the red hair gene down under you natural hair color.
You should have experimented with the darker color at home, it's harder to mess up and left the bleaching for the pro.
