This is a two part question: I want to go on a diet of nothing but veggies, grapefruits and steak. Would I lose wieght and would it be a sufficient diet

Not a sufficient diet... a step in the right direction, but not the whole picture.

You might lose weight, but you won't keep it off. This is a temporary solution, not a diet that you will stay on for the rest of your life. Think a well-balanced, calorie-restricted diet, and you will lose weight and keep it off for the long term.

I'd replace the steak with tuna- seafood is healthier than steak.
But realistically, you're not going to be able to survive on this diet. You'll last a few days and then binge on carbs, end up fasting to combat the bingeing, and binge again.

It really sounds like you have a good plan if you can stick to it!! Make sure you take a multi vitamin and if you dont happen to have your steak that day, make sure you get a protein in there.

as in the words of carlos mencia, you put more in this hole (mouth) than wat comes out of that hole (asssss) rofl... simply if ur calories less than wat u need, u lose weight
