My littlest (also 3) has a tummy issue with everything it seems. I get Ginger Brew from whole foods and give her that watered down a bit - ginger snap cookies with real ginger might help too. When my girl's tummy gets started, the running around alone seems to keep it going, so I try to get her to lay down and watch tv or read stories with me, particularly that first half hour after eating or drinking anything.

It is amazing to see them spring back or play so happily while they are sick, but that is what they do. Take care!

Peace!

Well, some viruses can do that. You failed to mention how old your son is. I would have to say...take him to the pediatrician if he is less than 1 year old. If he is older than that, make sure you make note of every time he urinates, whether he becomes lethargic (sleepy & weak) and is not running a fever.
He is playing and seems to be in good spirits...that would lead me to believe he is doing ok.
If you are not sure whether he is becoming dehydrated or not, try this little test ;Slightly press your thumb down on the inside of his forearm--if when you pull your thumb off it appears to be whitesh or lighter than his natural skin tone..and immediately pinks back up then he is hyrdrated. If you do this and his color doesn't change then you know he is Dehydrated. If you notice that he is dehydrated, I would suggest that you get him into an emergency room or clinic. Young children do not have much to spare if they do become dehydrated.
Hopefully he will be better by tomorrow......if not then you might consider taking him in to be seen. Better to be safe than sorry and it will help you as well.
good Luck and I hope the little champ gets better soon.
I highly recommend that you read the informative info on the link at webmd. Be sure to read each of the topic contents. It also tells you when to take the little guy into emergency.

All three of my children just got over a weeks worth of doing exactly that. After they get sick they are fine like nothing ever happened. Our doctor said the same thing. I would say if he doesn't have a temp and is acting normally just continue doing what you are doing (keep filling him up with clear liquids) in about two days or so he should be fine. If he doesn't get better after that or if you notice anything strange in his behavior take him to the emergency immediately.

sounds like he is swallowing a lot of air when he eats.
The family should slow down the pace of meals, which will decrease the amount of air he swallows. Also, take him for a short walk between courses. The exercise will encourage him to belch a little before things get too bad.

Give him Pedia-lyte and clear liquids. I wouldn't say go to the ER but call you doctor and make an appointment. Whenever I would bring my daughter to the ER for throwing up the wouldn't really do anything for her. Eventually she was diagnosed with Acid Reflux, but that may not be the case with him.

Give him the BRAT diet. A little Bananas, plain white Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. Also give him Pedialyte and lots of cuddles and I hope that he gets better soon. If he gets a fever seems to be in alot of pain then take him to the hospital.

It will run its course. That just happened to my nephew and his doctor said it was the flu. He didn't have a fever either. I would just give him Gatorade and crackers. If he is hungry some soup, nothing solid for his belly for a while because that might be what is keeping his belly upset.

No dairy whatsoever it will just curdle.

Well, that sounds like what my son had - it was diagnoised Rotavirus. You might want to do some research online and find out about it. It runs it's course in about 7 to 10 days. Good luck!

Give him clear liquids as the doctor said to do.
The first thing that comes to my mind is a food allergy.

First of all buy him some pedialite or if he is older Gatorade. Same crap. Then monitor when he throws up. What did he eat and what he was doing. You will probably see a pattern forming. When I was younger I used to vomit from excitement. The more hyped I got the more I vomited.
