I just moved to a totally new part of the country and I feel like I'm having trouble adapting to this new place. I moved from Ohio to Colorado. The altitude is much higher here and it just feels like there is more sky. Are there any practices I could use to feel 'at home' quicker? Should I work on cultivating relationships with the local nature beings, or wights? Who can give me some advice on this? Am I being impatient?

Well it depends on where you are if you are in Colorado Springs or Denver you are ok anywhere east of there sort of sucks west Colorado is ok. Any place is better than Ohio.

I'd work on setting up a relationship with the wights, if possible. Of course, the local spirits are probably used to being approached in a different manner, so that could be an issue... I'd recommend starting with walks/meditation in some quiet areas, start by just being there and "introducing yourself"; hopefully, you'll get a sense as to which spirits are receptive, and be able to go from there.

ignore the people who call you crazy and autistic and act as if being an Empath is a bad thing because that's not true at all. I think that having unique abilities like that is a very special thing.. just because most people don't have this ability doesn't mean it's bad. I know what it's like being called crazy.. check out my most recent question on my page. I would give you the link but I'm on my iPhone and that's difficult. well what you're describing here is a part of what I was talking about. have you ever considered that maybe you are a little bit psychic? having the ability to read people like you and I both do is part of being psychic. well, look at my most recent question, as i said, and see if you can relate to me more. may I say this: being psychic does not mean simply seeing the future. there's a lot more to it than that. I know you are psychic. I can easily see that. blessed be! feel free to email me. :)

A difference in altitude is a huge adjustment that can take months.
I moved to 8700 feet above sea level from the Houston area
(O elevation) and I couldn't draw a very deep breath for 3 months.
One thing you can do is to take iron supplements if you aren't too high in iron--this helps.
Stay hydrated,too.
And exercise--walk every day as much as you can.
Human bodies are amazingly adaptable!
BTW: Not a Pagan; just liked your question.

Yes you are being impatient, but thats normal.
I would say just spend some time outside, take long walks around...well wherever.
And most of all you should do what your heart tells you is best.

Just remember to wear a jacket, it's really cold out there.

)O( Blessed Be!

It will take some time for your body to physically adjust, but I would definitly find out what the surrounding Nature areas are like and connect with them. That would make me feel more at home.

How about a home cleansing? Maybe with some sweetgrass or lavender.

Just be yourself and find people you like, and you will find people like people who like them

You should not work magick.
Why not make some "real" friends(human beings) instead of talking to imaginary things in your head.
