I am so sick of hearing all of these completely random answeres people give to those who want to know about a church. a CHRISTAIN church. If you were ever smart enough to read the name of " that un christian " church you would know that we are members of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints.
We are not some weird cult like so many stupid ignorant people say we are. You really want to find out for yourself what we are about?
Try going to our church. Or reading the Book Of Mormon. I promise you you will find out that.....we take the bread and water, we read the bible, we love God, and we want to live with him again.
If you really have a question about us, ask US. Not someone else, because they dont know what the heck they are talking about.
I promise you that if you are a true, faithful, follower of Christ than you will find your way to the light.
And if you really want to know something, ask me. I will be glade to clarify with you ALL of your questions.

It's doesn't matter if you simply have the word Christ in your cult's name. The LDS is still a cult, period. It's no more a religion than Scientology.
Anyone who would believe the Joseph Smith saga may as well worship Mickey mouse and Donald Duck and call them Mary and Joseph.

Let's see... not a cult you say?
Why is your "Bible" edited to fit the Mormon only beliefs of Jesus not being conceived by the Holy Spirit, that there is a triune God that does not include any man being able to become a "god" in any shape or form. that marriages are eternal among other "theologies" that are opposed to fundamental Christian tenets.
That defines a "cult" - wake up.

I'm curious... who really wants to know about Mormons? It seems there are more Mormons trying to TELL us about Mormons than there are people ASKING about Mormons...
Ya, I read yo' book. 3rd times a charm for the Smith guy... 3rd religious "prophecy" stuck with a bunch a expelled gypsies who thought the stinky Salt Lake with the Pacific Ocean!
All in-breeding, black-people banning & poligamy asside - yous guys are pretty nice folks, living your Mormon/Christian lives. No harm, no foul. Now get off your soap box, stop being pissed that you either a) didn't go on a mission or b) got stuck on a mission to Missiouri instead of Chile. Then you'd have all your preaching outta your system. There's NO shortage of access to the Book of Mormon if "we" were to ask to be freed from our ignorance.

Well lets see. It does say in the Bible that whosoever believeth in me shall not perish but have everlasting life. So I guess you really don't have to be "anything" to make it to heaven. But you should not belive the book of mormon. If God had wanted it in the Bible it would BE in the Bible. Remember what it says in Revelation? If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plauges that are written in this book. So ole Joe Smith is probably hurting BAD right now.

For now , all I want to know is where are those gadgets - the urimabob and thingamabob now? Are they on display in SLC?
And the tablet(s), too; are they viewable to the public? And what was Joe Smith doing in up-state New York? Did he live there? My schedule doesn't permit reading 'The Book" and checking-out Answers, too. Synopsis, please.

I think one definition of a cult is a religion or group of people that follow a man, like joseph apparently, and his teachings.

as a former practicing mormon i dont see much difference between the regular cults and you people.you all feel that you have a monopoly on (1 )GOD (2)His kingdom and (3)the right to decide who sits on his right hand and enters his kingdom...GOD created man in his image and likeness, black, white, red.chinese and all the various colours and races in between..MAN created the various divisions...love your fellow man or woman as you would love your GOD AND YOU WILL SEE THE FACE OF GOD LOOKING BACK AT YOU......................................

So are you saying only Mormons know what they are talking about? Maybe you should come back to reality.

I understand your indignation, but don't take it personally. Christians routinely call Christians of other denominations "un-Christian," "so-called Christians," and "anti-Christian." Some Protestants are always denying that Catholics are Christians.
