Snakes were never meant to be household pets. People try to make them into "pets" but really are only after making an impression with gullible people: "ooohhh... you have a SNAKE (therefore you must be tough!)" Pathetic. You should look for that documentary show on Animal PLanet or National Geographic that told the story of this zoo keeper whose job was to feed the snakes. This man had fed the snakes for a number of years and was very well versed in handling snakes, as you can imagine. Well, one fateful day, when he was feeding the snakes, he went into the enclosure of this python and threw the usual towel over the head of the snake (as a precuayion when feeding them). Well, the towel slipped and quick as a wink, the python launched itself at him, bit his arm and proceeded to coil around him. He struggled and struggled with the monstrous pythin. He was passing out when another zoo keeper happened to come by and saw what was happening - lucky for him!
Snakes are NOT pets.

Sure it's okay to keep a snake as a pet, as long as you know what you are doing. Reptiles aren't as easy to care for as some people think. The cage/terrarium has to have the right temperature and humidity, the reptile must have the proper diet and be checked regularly for parasites. I wouldn't recommend having a venomous snake, though.

so a strategies as i comprehend, Corn Snakes are no longer cannibalistic. the only possibility in retaining greater beneficial than a million interior the comparable terrarium is at feeding time. via fact the different guy mentioned, they'd get entangled mutually as attempting to capture and constrict the comparable meals merchandise. what's the two undesirable, is I had 7 first born infant Garter Snakes in a million tank and a pair of caught the comparable fish. a million ate a sprint speedier than the different. permit me inform you it grew to become into no longer trouble-free getting them aside after speedy by twist of destiny have been given the fish and an inch of the different snake down in the previous i grew to become into in a position to do any difficulty approximately it. I have been given them aside and that they've been the two ok yet I fed all of them one after the different from then on. in case you do ascertain to get the different snake a pal, have a feeding tank besides to their habitat tank and feed them a million at a time. yet another plus to this set up, exceedingly with greater aggressive styles of snakes, is they'd have much less of a huge gamble mistaking your hand for a meal whilst all you will p.c. to do is basically cope with them.

the wildlife protection law of india 1972 prohibits .catching, killing, selling or keeping a snake is a criminal offence. i dont really care if its unsafe for your friend ..but it is unethical to keep a wild animal like that and not good for the snake. you should report this braggart.
