regular exercise is really important, this is how I lost weight. I could diet all I wanted but without exercise I really couldn't keep it off. Exercise is the best way to get rid of visceral fat, belly fat. Being persistent in eating healthy is a big key too, its okay to cheat and eat a special treat once in a while as long as you get back to eating your healthy diet. Good luck, hope this helps.

Diet. Not a fad diet or anything, but just cut back on portion sizes, no school lunchs, or if so, do they have salads? I always try to eat a salad at school every other day, instead of the chicken and fries or whatever they have. Eat a small breakfast, maybe some cereal, or eggs, or even waffles (but make sure to get the whole grain waffles, they're better for you!) Be sure to exercise as often as possibe, if you want to lose weight, you should probably exercise a minimum of 45 minutes a day, 4 days a week.
If it's a belly/abdomen issue, try lots of crunchs, and thinks that burn when you do them. I know it's hard, especially if you're out of shape, but you'll get the hang of it. Jogging, or running, even walking around your neighborhood, are also good ways to exercise. And if you can't get to a gym, be sure to do lots of home stuff. Like crunchs, leg lifts, and push ups. Go to your health teacher, or PE teacher, ask if they can help you. Good luck! Just remember to be consistant.

At 13 you shouldnt be trying to diet without guidance honey. Your body is still growing. But that said if your going to anyway i think you should just try to eat healthy, and excercise. Try doing some walking or swimming but somewhere safe and with some friends. Cut out junkie food and icecream and sugar and soft drinks. 12 weeks isnt long and there just arent many things to do to peel it off that fast without intense gruelling workouts, which are innappropriate for a growing body anyway. Talk to your mum or dad about it and see what they can whip up for dinner that is a bit more healthy and low fat etc. Gluck with losing the weight but im sure your a beautiful person regardless and you you'll enjoy your graduation big belly or no big belly!!!! If you do get some cash b4 then, dont waste it on fat loss products or pills coz there all bogus, save it or spend it on something fun you will enjoy!!!!!!

If you are REALLY serious about losing the weight- then eat 3 meals a day (NO 2nd helpings & NO snacking inbetween meals), and do something physical EVERY day for at LEAST one hour (you know; run, swim laps, use a treadmill- even just walking around the block a few times is alot better than nothing). Do this & eat right- and you'll graduate in good shape. Good luck!

You have 3 months-that's about 12 weeks to lose weight. That's good that you start now and lose about 2 pounds a week. I don't know how much weight you need to lose but you need some exercise, so start by walking. You can lose weight by eating less and eating healthier foods. Skip the soda pop and high calorie junk foods. Instead, eat more fruit and veggie snacks. You can do it. You are young and still have those 3 months to do it. You go girl!!!

To lose a belly, you would have to do some type of aerobic exercise for 20 minutes or more. If you can, go with a friend or two and jog around a park or neighborhood. Or go over to each other's house and dance like crazy to music you like-dance can be good exercise too! Or be like a little kid again and jump rope by yourself or double dutch with friends. Another thing is to watch what you eat-eat less fried foods, less starch foods like potatoes, rice and bread and more lean meats like chicken (not fried!) and turkey. Make sure you eat small meals 5-6 times a day to keep your metabolism up (to burn calories), and get your 2-3 cups of fruit a day, 3 cups of veggies and lean meat too.

Honestly, the best way is to increase your output vs your input. Simply put, excercise more (burn more calories) than what you eat. Start off by having your parents take you to the doc to make sure that nothing else is going on with you, Medically, and that you are medically able to start an excercise program. Find a sport, or excercise that you enjoy and do it. Stay away from as much fast food as possible, increase veggies, stop drinking sodas (you would be surprised how quickly you will start dropping weight from just that). But don't cut your calories so much that you cause harm to yourself, you will still need to eat, just watch what you eat.
Hope that helps, and good luck. I know you can do it!

Eating healthier will help some, exercising will too. Eating healthier is eating smaller portions. Drink a glass of water before you eat, it fills you up more so you eat less and water pushes things through too. When you want a snack reach for low fat ones or veggies raw ones like a mini salad. Don't eat fast food like McDonalds, etc.
Exercises, walking is good. Jumping jacks, sit ups are good, so are crunches. They can hurt if you don't do them right. I do an alternative exercise I found that works for me. You sit up totally straight as if you had a steel rod in your back, take the deepest breath possible, pull in your tummy as tight and hard as you can, hold it for a few seconds, do this each day and increase the time you hold it in. It's just like doing a sit up only alot easier.

Oh baby, that is too bad that you feel the need to change yourself. BUT if you do feel that need, simple sit-ups, or crunches are a good way to start. Also, leg lifts are good. They are laying on your back and raising your legs to about 3-4 inches off the ground and holding them there. Make sure you continue to breath as you could pull muscles this way. Limiting your caloric intake will help also. If you walk, try keeping your abdominal muscles taut, and your butt firm. Even though there may be some unwanted fat on the outside of them, you still have abdominal muscles. I lost about 15 lbs, with most of it off my belly by doing just that. Walking and holding my stomach in while I walked. You have to kinda "fast walk" as compared to just normal walking.
Please sweetheart, don't overdo it, and don't think that you failed just because you continue to have some "belly fat". We all need some fat on our stomachs and as women, we have a more difficult time losing it than men do (lucky buggers!!).
Good luck with this....God Bless you and CONGRATULATIONS on graduating!!!! Good for you!
