I would say dont get another cat if your dog is gonna hurt it.If he hurt one odds are he will hurt another. Stick with the dog. One risk a poor cats life

I agree with the above answer. Obviously your dog does not like cats. You shouldn't be putting another cat in harms way. I'd feel the same way if you were having the same problem with a new dog.
