Correct me if I am wrong, but do Atheists believe in hell?
How many christians use that word very freely.?

My dear, what I mean by that was I think that person is someone who just wants to make Christians look hateful and intolerant, someone who has a vested interest in making us look awful, someone like an Atheist. I think the entire question was a set up and not genuine or sincere. I don't think the the person who asked the question is Christian at all.
Atheists don't believe in Hell.
EDIT- Eggshell, you are correct, I was being wholly facetious, rather rude of me in fact, I know, but this woman and I have gone round and round before, there is a history you don't know about. I know for certain that most Atheists just want to live their lives and be left alone, they certainly aren't "plotting" anything against me or any other Christian.

Wife, I certainly hope you were being facetious. Atheists as a group do not have a vested interest in anything. The word atheist means one who does not believe in God (a-theist, a=without), not one who hates God or who hates Christians. Atheists as a whole do not congregate to discuss ways to attack religion. I am an Atheist and have no hatred for religion. Get your biases and prejudices out of here.

I love how certain christians have their own separate beliefs...
"I believe that gays go to heaven, even though the people who made up my religion say for certain that they 'burn in hell' - I base my belief on my own opinions of gays since i don't think they are bad people, just misguided by the devil"
talking to a religious person is like talking to a pathological liar, they keep changing their story to make is sound better to impress you.

No, atheists don't believe in hell, but some of them (like me) will say, "If it turns out there's a hell, those who have threatened others with it probably stand a pretty good chance of ending up there."

The only time I've ever heard an atheist speak of hell is when they told someone, "Go to hell".

because i am an atheist I don't believe in HELL that's why I think child molesters and rapist should be killed very slowly for their crimes.let them suffer cause they ain't going to burn in hell. why do you think hell was maid up. by bad people called con artist. so the bad people could say let GOD punish us. bull punish them all now..
