I just noticed that I may be developing one the other day, it is small but I would like to get it taken care of as soon as possible. What is the process and what should I do?

The dentist just fills it like any other tooth, same process, just white filling

Call your dentist and make an appointment.. he will see if it's a cavity and if it is, they will probably make another appointment to get it filled. If you just noticed it recently, there shouldn't be any complications just call the office and everything will be taken care of. They give you novocaine and it numbs you, they drill the cavity out and put in the filling. Hopefully you have insurance, so they will file with your insurance company to pay for part/all of the procedure. Yes they will probably use the white colored filling.. I've had that on a tooth near the front, the filling is sort of chipped from flossing cause it's on the side of the tooth.. so I have to go back. That's the thing with a filling in the front they seem to be more fragile than the ones in the back. Take care!

Your dentist will DRILL out any bad or weak portions of your tooth and put in a filling.. then he/she will polish the filling to make it look similar to the rest of the tooth...

it is very painful.. and expensive...

oh.. wait.. no.. it is not painful or expensive if you get it done right away.. but it IS painful and expensive is you wait very long!

They fill it just like any other tooth but they will most likely use a white filling for it.
